Hey everyone. It’s been months since I’ve last blogged and here I am at 4 AM feeling the need to write. No, I’m not up just because I feel the world needs to hear what I’ve been up to but I’ve been working late on two different websites this evening so I figured why not update the blog. One website is for a client and the other one was another “SOS” aka shiny object syndrome (see previous blog for the reference) sort of thing that crossed my mind while I was working today. I’ll get into what it was later.
So why haven’t I been blogging or active at all these last few months? Well to be blatantly honest, I’ve been playing a sh*t ton of video games. I’ve been really into Apex Legends the last few months and just recently acquired another Xbox One on top of the PS4 that I already have. This is about the third time I’ve gotten another Xbox after selling it previously to “increase my productivity”. Based on my track record as you can tell, it hasn’t exactly worked. Playing video games counts as kind of like doing tech work though right? :D
Anyways, today was a much-needed day of actual productivity and I’m happy that I took the time to literally sit down and do some work. For the last few months up until just a month ago, I’ve sort of been complacent as I had a few decent paying website gigs which was more than enough to be comfortable with. This last month however from just talking about what I do to a few acquaintances, I ended up landing a few clients as I mentioned earlier that I am working on sites for. These clients are all local to my area and I realized that there is quite a different feeling when working on a site for someone local as opposed to someone totally random. I’m not quite sure how to describe it but it feels much more satisfactory throughout the process knowing you are helping someone that is trying to do their own thing in the local area. I guess it’s the feeling of supporting a small or local business that generates the feeling and it completely makes sense. It has made me want to help more local businesses out and hopefully I’ll be able to do so in the time to come.
So other than that bit of tech work, I was also working on a site for my own ventures today. It was an idea that I kind of had before as it was what I wanted PhyberTech to initially be but I decided to expand my vision a little further again. So I’ve mentioned before (I think) how I created PhyberTech with the goal of being the main company that all the other subsidiaries such as Phyber Security (my cyber security company) fall under. Well today with the help of SOS once again, I acted on what came to my mind. I decided I wanted to create the “final” sort of all-encompassing addition to my tech arsenal which is how Phyber Enterprises was born. Now, it is not a new idea or a game changer by any means as it is what I was intending on PhyberTech being but I wanted to create something that leaves room for much more if that makes sense. PhyberTech has become web design/app design centralized so I am sort of converting it into a subsidiary company of Phyber Enterprises. Although I don’t have any immediate plans for Phyber Enterprises, right now it is sort of serving as the forefront for all my other tech ventures. I had a vision of a minimalist page with icons of my ventures on it which I created and put up in less than 20 minutes as you can tell if you go to www.phyberenterprises.com
Eventually down the road, I plan on Phyber Enterprises rolling out our own licensed software and mobile applications into the market. In addition to that, I’d like to also tap into other industries in the tech field such as AI and maybe create another subsidiary company dedicated to it. These are just ideas for now but are in the back of my mind in regard to what direction I want to go next.
So yeah, that is what I’ve been working on regarding tech recently and I hope that this sudden spurt of motivation will carry as I feel happier today working than I have felt in general recently. I think seeing yourself progress in any aspect of your life is rewarding and I hope that everyone out there is moving forward in their own fashion.
Not sure when I’ll be posting next but I’m back from my little tech hiatus (for now).
